14th July 2025 – I .......

13th July 2025 – The new Art Deco, floral and jewel look, for the nav. buttons, is replicated to the hamburger contents button (which I'm still struggling to fix!). The hamburger contents toggle button is more Responsive Web Design, important as I want the site smartphone friendly as well as desktop computer compatible. I read that half the current internet users use desktop computers, and half use smartphones. This new Art Deco look also touches the left and right pictures, flanking the main contents. The left picture compliments Myrna, from The View From The Hat; and the right picture pays tribute to Bad Snake!; both stories from the upcoming book. Plus - phew! - I'm updating the decorative lines with 'Squiggle' - a terrier chasing his tennis ball. Finally fixed the hamburger code to ensure simple navigation for mobile phone users. Added a soft floral decorative line with the Love, Hope, Beauty philosophy for certain pages.

12th July 2025 – I put together an image for Elara's short verse - Dawn Haven, found on the home page. I decided to go for a new Art Deco, floral and jewel look for the navigation buttons on the main contents.

10th July 2025 – Was feeling playful today so I created a quiz, very much relating to the website. There's 2 x pages, for the Quizzes, and Answers. Accessed via the Home page.

6th July 2025 – Completed Jewel's pages and artwork with the Golden Retriever and butterflies. Ready for when Jewel visits!

1st July 2025 – Created Jewel's PDF Message (only for her; not publicly available) and uploaded it to the site.

26th June 2025 – Added another of my interests, The Thin Man films page, which began with the 1st film in 1934, The Thin Man - the page can be accessed via >Stories >The View From The Hat Excerpt. The Thin Man is partly inspirational for the short story, The View From The Hat.

20th June 2025 – Added 2 x story extracts with book cover art, for the Bad Snake!, and The View From The Hat pages - accessed via the Stories page.

13th June 2025 – Set up a Faith McCord Newsletter email for the Substack started today - anyone now clicking on the Newsletter image at the bottom of every page, will be transported in quick time to the Substack.

11th June 2025 – The Delights page, about which jewellery piece is inspirational for which story is almost done. The Stories page - detailing the titles of the collection, and their essence - is now completed.

10th June 2025 – The outline of the Stories page has begun - detailing the titles of the collection, and their essence.

9th June 2025 – The Gemma page is completed - I particularly enjoyed creating this page which I'm sure my child-self would have delighted in. I'm pleased with how the Gemma picture came to life, with her sparkling smile and half-closed smiling eyes. Also completed, is the Facets page, which softly outlines my own beliefs, concerning - Love, Hope & Beauty. And that little precious thing called Wonderment.

8th June 2025 – The Gems page is finally completed - it lists the various gemstones and their attributes; also, a brief history (British) of gems, concerning their different cuts, settings and styles. And, micro stories relating to notable jewellery pieces.

7th June 2025 – The Home page is completed.

6th June 2025 – The website is born. Inspired by the author's jewellery collection and the desire to leave those pieces to someone special one day.
